Konkuri gets greener and renews its graphics to add new contents.
The social networks have better visibility: you can now follow us more easily on Facebook and Twitter. Become our fan and read our latest tweet, which also appears in the footer.
In the public Home Page you will find a box with the buzz from the hundreds of blogs and online magazines that have reviewed Konkuri. It’s amazing to see how many people were eager to throw away all those sheets on which you once recorded your results!
Then, we have built a Tournament page where you can see the latest tournaments created on Konkuri.
Finally, registered users will find in their home page the last two posts of our blog. You will be updated on new services available and you might discover that one of the latest changes has been created to satisfy your own desire!
During these days, we’re fixing some bugs that have been reported. The two most important were:
The 30 characters limit in the registration email that has caused problems to some users. Now, you can use email addresses up to 75 characters long, which should be enough;
The home/away distribution when generating the schedule. Now they’re perfectly balanced (same number of home/away) and alternated (never more than 2 home or 2 away following).
Finally, after so many requests, you can now create tournaments with odd number of participants.
In round-robin, there will be 1 competitor resting at every round. Whereas, in brackets there will be some competitors that will have a harder life than others! ;-)
Just put the effective number of players or teams and Konkuri will do the rest of the work for you.
Konkuri gets reviewed in Japanese on 100shiki.com and japan.internet.com. We can’t understand quite well what they’re saying, but it sounds nice! ;-)
The articles have also been mentioned in many Japanese tweets.
Guess what? The #1 application is: “Real-Time Mobile & Web Sports App”.
They say: “somebody needs to create an agnostic web and mobile application to deliver real-time data.
And then “Sports fans need up-to-the-instant scores, game developments, news on teams and players, and stats relating to fantasy league play”.
This is music to our ears. And, it sounds very familiar to some features we have in mind for Konkuri.
