Wrestling added to Konkuri

Wrestling has been added to Konkuri’s sport list. So, from now on, you can use Konkuri to organize your Wrestling tournaments. Have fun!

Fixed bugs: registration e-mail + home/away

During these days, we’re fixing some bugs that have been reported. The two most important were:

  • The 30 characters limit in the registration email that has caused problems to some users. Now, you can use email addresses up to 75 characters long, which should be enough;
  • The home/away distribution when generating the schedule. Now they’re perfectly balanced (same number of home/away) and alternated (never more than 2 home or 2 away following).

New feature: odd number of participants!

Finally, after so many requests, you can now create tournaments with odd number of participants.

In round-robin, there will be 1 competitor resting at every round. Whereas, in brackets there will be some competitors that will have a harder life than others! ;-)

Just put the effective number of players or teams and Konkuri will do the rest of the work for you.

Have fun!

Konkuri featured in Japan on 100shiki.com and japan.internet.com

Konkuri gets reviewed in Japanese on 100shiki.com and japan.internet.com. We can’t understand quite well what they’re saying, but it sounds nice! ;-)
The articles have also been mentioned in many Japanese tweets.

Konkuri featured on Feedmyapp and MakeUseOf

These days, Konkuri has been featured on Feedmyapp, MakeUseOf and other web app sites or blogs:

One awesome app begging to be developed

A few days ago, ReadWriteWeb published a very interesting article: “6 Awesome Apps Begging to Be Developed”.

Guess what? The #1 application is: “Real-Time Mobile & Web Sports App”.

They say: “somebody needs to create an agnostic web and mobile application to deliver real-time data.
And then “Sports fans need up-to-the-instant scores, game developments, news on teams and players, and stats relating to fantasy league play”.

This is music to our ears. And, it sounds very familiar to some features we have in mind for Konkuri.

Matteo wrote a comment on the post, with a brief presentation of our project and philosophy.
